About the Course
This in-person, 2-hour workshop will bring together cancer survivors and thrivers for an introduction to Tantra techniques whose ancient wisdom provides powerful practices to heal from the past and bolster our resilience in the present and future. As a cancer thriver herself, Stacie Steinbock turned to Tantra when she realized she needed a somatic (body based) therapy to support her emotional and physical healing process after cancer treatment and to manage cancer recurrence anxiety.
Stacie’s motivation is to share the practices she herself uses on a daily basis with others. She says, “These ancient practices are like a well-stocked medicine cabinet that can support us on all levels: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual.”
The title of this workshop is inspired by musician Leonard Cohen’s lyric "There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." Stacie enjoys the idea that our imperfections and places where we feel broken can be the very places where our inner strength and light are most visible, a sentiment she resonates with as part of what she learned from her own ovarian cancer journey.
Today she sees beauty shining through everywhere: in her re-defined relationship to her body, the way cancer helped her develop laser-light focus on her priorities, and newfound friendship connections through the cancer community.
