What To Expect
It is our hope that in the initial sessions, we will be able to create a warm,
non-judgemental atmosphere for you, in order to help you share your stories with us, and what has brought you to therapy at this particular time. It is important to set specific goals, and our therapists are here to help you identify what YOUR goals are.

YOUR JOB is to be as genuine, open and honest as you are comfortable with, in order to help your therapist learn possible causes, solutions, and routes for creating change. Being vulnerable is essential to success in therapy. Vulnerability is allowing yourself to talk about the fear, embarrassment, and insecurities you might struggle with.
Naturally, you may tend to withhold information at the beginning of therapy because your therapist needs to earn your trust. When you start to feel comfortable enough to show vulnerability, you will receive much better outcomes from therapy.

YOUR THERAPIST'S JOB is to actively listen to you (both of you, or all of you), formulate a plan for therapy, help you to explore deeper, in order to identify the causes, patterns, solutions and possible routes, and guide you to a place of healing and positivity (regardless of the outcome).

It is NOT your therapist's place to tell you what to do, or make life journey decisions for you. We are here to support you along the journey to figuring out what is the best path for you (both of you, or all of you).
